SMASH SMS Terms & Conditions

These SMS Terms & Conditions (“SMS Terms”) govern the SMASH text messaging program (the “Program”) operated by SmashScrap.ca LTD (“SMASH,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

These SMS Terms apply to SMS/text messages we send in connection with our services, including messages sent from:

• 1-855-762-7474 (1-855-SMASH-74) — toll-free (Canada and United States)
• 343-337-6274 (343-33SMASH) — Canadian local number

1) Covered Websites and Services

These SMS Terms apply to SMS/text messages related to websites and services operated by SmashScrap.ca LTD, including:

• smashscrap.com
• smashrecycling.ca
• smash-cars.com and smash-cars.ca
• getmyscrap.com and getmyscrapcar.com (note: singular “car”)

2) Types of Messages You May Receive

Depending on how you interact with us, you may receive:

B2B users/business contacts (smashscrap.com / smashrecycling.ca):

• Two-factor authentication (2FA) and security verification codes
• Account notifications (including account status/verification updates)
• Customer care/support messages
• Shipping, freight, pickup/delivery, and transaction-related updates

Public lead-gen users (smash-cars.com/.ca, getmyscrap.com, getmyscrapcar.com):

• Quote follow-ups related to your request
• Scheduling/pickup coordination
• Customer care/support related to your request

We do not use this Program for general promotional SMS blasts unrelated to a user’s request, account, security, or service activity.

3) How You Opt In (Consent)

You may opt in by:

• Providing your mobile number and affirmatively consenting during registration or account settings on smashscrap.com or smashrecycling.ca; or
• Providing your mobile number and affirmatively consenting on a quote/contact/lead form on smash-cars.com/.ca, getmyscrap.com, or getmyscrapcar.com; or
• Otherwise expressly requesting SMS communication from us in a compliant written/digital workflow.

By opting in, you confirm you are the account holder/authorized user of the number.

Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.

4) Message Frequency

Message frequency varies. Frequency depends on your activity (2FA/login events, account updates, quote/scheduling activity, support interactions, shipping updates).

5) Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Your carrier may charge for SMS/data under your plan.

6) Opt Out (STOP)

Reply STOP to any message from 1-855-762-7474 or 343-337-6274 to opt out. We may send a one-time confirmation and then stop non-exempt messages unless you opt in again.

8) Carrier Disclaimer

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

We may share information with service providers that help deliver/support SMS (e.g., messaging vendors, telecom providers, hosting/support tools) under appropriate restrictions.
