SMASH Recycling founder Jeffrey Zwirsky has spent decades in the scrap metal industry, but his approach has never been to sit behind a desk. Whether it’s touring recycling facilities across Ontario, visiting partner yards, or simply clearing his head on a morning walk, Jeff believes that staying grounded is what keeps SMASH ahead of the curve.

“You can’t build a platform for recyclers if you don’t understand what their day actually looks like,” Jeff says. “I walk the yards. I talk to the operators. That’s how we built SMASH — by listening, not guessing.”
